Something went terribly wrong today with all the training and running these past couple of days. Yes!! I've completed my first ever half marathon (21km) in 2 hours 52 minutes which is under the 3 hour limit!! The timing isnt exactly spectacular but what can you expect from a person who's only been training for 2 months or so (bought my shoes on the 23rd April 2009 as posted here). So yesterday I finally had the balls to update my Nokia n82 firmware (v31.0.016) on my own. Now flashing any device's firmware can be a very tricky and risky thing. So I took these babies for a run at Bukit Jalil park today. Did 6km (according to the trail I found online somewhere) in slightly under an hour. Will definitely run again tomorrow. Morning runs are so refreshing. Now, the NB MR1224 is truly a gem. They're probably as comfortable as my own bed!! They're also true light weights and in addition it provides fantastic cushioning. Today, I did something I never thought I would...kayaking. Things werent looking good for me as I didnt exactly pack enough clothes and by going kayaking, I would no longer have a spare pair of shorts for the rest of the week...but it definitely beats staying in the hotel room.
